Stephen has 40 years of experience in aerospace and defense, and an extensive background in major systems acquisition programs for Spacecraft, Satellites, Launch Vehicles, Ground Combat Vehicles, Large Caliber Weapons, Precision Munitions, ISR mission systems and sensors including several Small Tactical UAVs.
Stephen served in various capacities at the United States Air Force Space Division, Teledyne Systems, United Defense, Bofors Defence AB, AAI/Textron and L3Harris. He has served in various positions, as Director of Industrial Partnering, Space Programs business development, the Vice President for Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems, where he led the business unit in the design, development, production, and fielding of the Aerosonde system. Prior positions include the Director of Advanced Programs, Director of Munitions Programs, Program Management, Business Management and Subcontract Management on several major DoD system acquisition programs.
Stephen earned his Bachelor of Science from the United States Air Force Academy in 1984. He also attended The Air Force Institute of Technology for Program Management certification and his Professional Designation in Cost Analysis. In addition, he earned certificates for executive management and leadership at the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL).
Stephen is married to Teri Takle Flach and they reside in Maineville, OH and have a son, Erik, attending Madonna University, in Detroit MI, studying to complete his master’s in athletic training and a daughter LilyAnn finishing high school this year, playing lacrosse and is a multi-instrument musician in the marching band and symphonic band.
