A retired Rear Admiral of the United States Navy, Mr. Sobeck brings more than 36 years of service leading complex, high-consequence maritime and logistics organizations operating under continuous regulatory, operational, and geopolitical scrutiny. His career is defined by building teams, integrating stakeholders, and translating strategic intent into reliable day-to-day execution. 

Mr. Sobeck commanded Commander Logistics Group Western Pacific (COMLOG WESTPAC), headquartered in Singapore, where he led distributed maritime logistics operations across the Indo-Pacific in support of U.S. and allied naval forces. In this role, he was responsible for operational readiness, supply chain execution, and coordination with international partners in one of the world’s most complex maritime environments. 

He later served as a Strategic Director at United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM), where he contributed to enterprise-level planning and execution for global mobility, sealift, and logistics operations supporting U.S. national objectives and allied commitments. 

Most recently, Mr. Sobeck served as Commander of the Military Sealift Command (MSC), providing strategic vision and operational leadership for a fleet of over 150 vessels operating daily worldwide. In this role, he oversaw workforce readiness, safety, compliance, budget execution, and sustained operations critical to U.S. national security—balancing regulatory requirements, labor considerations, and mission performance at scale. 

Throughout his career, Mr. Sobeck has been recognized as a straightforward, execution-oriented leader known for integrating diverse teams, aligning authority with accountability, and delivering outcomes in environments where failure is not an option.
