Kyle Fox is a seasoned technology leader and strategic consultant specializing in nuclear weapon systems, NC3, defense technology, and advanced innovation strategies. Currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at SOSi, Kyle drives research, technology, and innovation strategies to enable mission-critical capabilities for the Department of Defense (DoD), Intelligence Community (IC), and federal agencies. Recognized for his contributions, Kyle received the WBJ 40 Under 40 award for his transformative leadership at SOSi, where he advances cutting-edge technologies such as AI/ML, cloud computing, DevSecOps, and zero trust architectures to support national security objectives.

Kyle previously held pivotal roles with the U.S. Air Force, most notably as the Chief Software Officer (CSO) for the Nuclear Weapon Center and the founding Chief Software Engineer (CSE) for the Department of the Air Force. As CSO, he led the R&D portfolio for the future of intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) capabilities, spearheading advancements in hypersonic vehicles, secure microelectronics, power grid resiliency, and AI/ML at the tactical edge. As CSE, Kyle oversaw the $96 billion Sentinel Ground-Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) modernization program, managing a team of over 1,000 engineers and achieving several DoD firsts, including developing the first cloud-native nuclear weapon system program; implementing the first government-furnished software factory for a major acquisition program; pioneering digital acquisition techniques and continuous engineering for rapid delivery of warfighting capabilities.

Throughout his 12-year Air Force career, Kyle consistently delivered innovation by integrating lean-agile techniques, modern digital engineering tools, and groundbreaking DevSecOps strategies into complex defense systems. He led the creation of the Software Mission Assurance Center (SMAC) and championed efforts to align cyber, system safety, and nuclear surety certifications.

Beyond his defense work, Kyle is a board member of RapidFort, advising on software security innovations. He holds a Master’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Physics from the University of Wyoming.
