Mr. Poston has over 25 years of extensive experience as an accomplished business leader, excelling in M&A strategy, evaluating acquisition targets, and guiding companies to maximize valuation and operational readiness for mergers or acquisitions. Known for his ability to turn around under-performing units and expanding into new markets, he is committed to fostering sustainable growth and profitability.

Since late 2020, Mr. Poston has served as President of Stoic Consulting, LLC, where he advises large, mid-size, and small companies on M&A readiness, acquisition target analysis, and strategic alignment within the Federal contractor space. His work includes preparing companies for acquisition by optimizing corporate metrics, enhancing operational efficiencies, and building value propositions that appeal to larger firms. He also served as a Strategic Advisor for a Federal Health client, driving transformation from a legacy waterfall environment to a dynamic, agile software factory.

At Octo Consulting, Mr. Poston developed strategies to transition from 8(a) portfolios to full-and-open competition, while identifying and evaluating M&A targets within the Federal market. His due diligence assessments focused on financial health, market positioning, and operational synergies to guide strategic acquisitions.

At Booz Allen, Mr. Poston served as an Account Executive for IT and Transformation work across multiple markets, providing leadership to teams of over 300 FTEs and oversight on $1B+ total sales for existing and new work, while growing a market from less than $5M annually to exceeding $70M per year in a short period of time. He developed and implemented strategies that yielded positive results across all business metrics, to include generating nearly 20% year-over-year (YOY) growth.

He has served a senior advisor across the DoD and Federal Health Communities, from numerous programs within Military Health and the US Army to Defense Health Agency and Veterans Administration Leaders, and the DoD CIO.

Prior to joining industry, Mr. Poston served in various positions as an US Army Signal Officer with service in the US, Korea, Europe, and Iraq.
