Dr. Brad Tousley

Brad is a business and technology executive with a 30 + year record of assessing and bringing technology, systems and concepts to the forefront of national security and commercial joint markets.

He is currently a senior Adviser and consultant to multiple emerging businesses (vLEO  space, undersea robotics, space situational awareness, autonomy, and cis lunar services), leads advanced development for Trusted Space Inc., and is supporting the Defense Science Board in the areas of advanced capabilities, commercial space and other emerging areas.

From 2017 – 2023 he was an executive at Ball Aerospace and Raytheon Technologies where he focused on advanced technology and commercialization (Ball Commercial Aerospace, Raytheon BBN Ventures, Blue Canyon Technologies, Raytheon SC2 Strategy and Technology, and Raytheon Ventures). He created Raytheon BBN Ventures, an incubator focused on spinning out government funded R&D. At RTX Ventures he analyzed and supported external investment decisions of Raytheon capital. At Ball Aerospace he enabled the commercialization and growth of dual funded core technology in airborne and space based capabilities. From 1998 – 2006 he was a SPO/STO/IXO/TTO program manager at DARPA, and from 2013 – 2017 he was the TTO office director at DARPA.  Earlier in his career he led R&D programs for the National Reconnaissance Office.
