Don Robbins is a nationally respected authority in defense systems engineering, strategic program execution, and technical innovation. With more than 30 years of service across both government and industry, he has held executive positions overseeing high-value initiatives in nuclear modernization, satellite communications, and advanced space systems. As a senior leader at BAE Systems, Don restructured underperforming business units, led engineering transformation initiatives, and successfully executed complex programs. Earlier in his career, Don (retired USAF Colonel) served as Deputy for Systems Engineering Plans and Policy in the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense (Systems Engineering), where he shaped engineering policy across 200+ acquisition programs valued at $1.8T.
A U.S. Air Force veteran with multiple command roles, he led the Wideband SATCOM Group, launching the first block of WGS satellites, and oversaw their operations and test program leading to Full Operation Capability (FOC). Additionally, he commanded an OSD field operating agency, the Air Force Nuclear Weapon and Counterproliferation Agency (AFNWCA), overseeing life extension, modification, and alteration programs of the Air Force nuclear stockpile. Don holds extensive credentials in acquisition and systems planning.
Don is now the Founder and CEO of RobbTech Innovations LLC, advising clients on national security strategy, digital engineering, and organizational turnaround. He is a decorated leader with an active TS/SCI clearance, a BNE in Nuclear Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and an MS in Nuclear Engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology. Don is a recipient of the National Space Club Nelson P. Jackson award for space innovation.
