Ms. Pamela K. “Pam” Piazza is a senior executive leader with more than 30 years of combined military and civilian experience advancing cyber operations, enterprise risk management, and large-scale technology modernization across the Department of the Air Force (DAF). Known for her deliberate leadership in complex environments, she has led high-performing teams responsible for securing mission-critical systems that enable global warfighting operations.
Most recently, Ms. Piazza served as Chief, Cyber Assurance Division and Senior A6 Staff Civilian for the Directorate of Cyberspace and Information Dominance (A6), Air Combat Command (ACC). She led a team of 50 cyber professionals delivering mission assurance across a $1.2B Air Force Information Network (AFIN) portfolio. As Subordinate Enterprise Authorizing Official (AO) for the DAF’s largest AO boundary, she accepted risk for more than 2,500 systems and enclaves across classified and unclassified networks—ensuring operational resilience while balancing security, speed, and mission execution.
A trusted advisor to senior leadership, Ms. Piazza represented ACC at the Air Force Senior Management Council and directed corrective action plans for more than 30 enterprise-level audits conducted by the GAO, DoD OIG, and AFAA. She championed modernization initiatives that strengthened governance while accelerating delivery, including a streamlined Commercial Internet approval framework that saved thousands of manpower days annually. A passionate champion for Cyber and IT (C&IT) civilian development, she served as ACC’s rep to the DAF C&IT Civilian Developmental and Vectoring Teams numerous times helping C&IT personnel DAF-wide to advance their careers while posturing the workforce to meet current and emerging missions.
Previously, as Director of Integration Services at the Air Force Network Integration Center, Ms. Piazza led more than 120 cyber professionals and managed a $55M portfolio supporting enterprise architecture, services management, and technology integration for Major Commands and Combatant Commands worldwide. Her leadership enabled deployment of the world’s largest patch management solution—securing more than 630,000 devices and significantly reducing vulnerability remediation timelines. She also directed enterprise mobile device modernization and supported migration of over 500,000 users to cloud-based services.
Earlier, as Chief Technical Officer for ACC/A6, she served as senior technical advisor to command leadership, aligning cyber strategy with Air Staff priorities and shaping communications and information policy. She also led C4 planning and resources for the 480th ISR Wing, overseeing communications and IT systems supporting seven Combatant Commanders and an enterprise valued at more than $5B.
Ms. Piazza holds a Master of Science in National Resource Strategy with a concentration in Cybersecurity Leadership from the Eisenhower School, National Defense University; a Master of Public Administration from Old Dominion University; and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) and Certified in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (CGRC).
