Mark Weatherington

An active public speaker and thought leader in cybersecurity, microelectronics, and strategic materials, Mark Weatherington serves on the advisory boards of several small and innovative businesses. Mark served more than 33-years in the United States Air Force, retiring in 2023 as the Deputy Commander, Air Force Global Strike Command. In this position, he guided the safe and secure operations of the nation’s intercontinental ballistic missiles, strategic bombers, and specialized command and control capabilities. He also directed execution of the largest modernization portfolio in the Air Force and an annual operating budget of $900M.

He previously commanded the “the Mighty Eighth” Air Force, leading the daily operations of the free world’s only long-range bomber force. During his distinguished career, Mark served in a variety of strategy, warfighting requirements, and cyberspace operations positions within the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the Joint Staff, North American Aerospace Defense Command, and United States Northern Command. He continues to serve today in a civilian capacity as a Highly Qualified Expert and Senior Mentor.

Mark is the President of MWX Strategy Solutions LLC, providing tailored strategy and management advice to clients in the national security and technology sectors.
