Jon Sutherland

Colonel (ret) Jon Sutherland served for more than 33 years in the United States Air Force, culminating in his assignment as the Chief Information Officer for more than 33,000 Air Force personnel in Europe and Africa. Prior to that, Jon served in a similar role as the Chief Information Officer for over 5,000 Air Force personnel in the Middle East during the first year of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Upon retiring from the Air Force, Jon served as a Business Development Executive at AT&T, where he was responsible for identifying, aligning, and advancing AT&T capabilities to address the global operational requirements of the Air Force and Space Force. Jon is also a board member of several organizations, including the Air Force Cyberspace and Communications Heritage Center Association.

Jon holds a bachelor’s in computer science and master’s degrees in business administration, military operational arts and science, and national security strategy.
